System Requirements

Microsoft SQL Server and Reporting Services

Microsoft SQL Server 2005 with Service Pack 2 or Microsoft SQL Server 2008 or Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 is a basic requirement for using LICENSE:ONE.

LICENSE:ONE Server Components

The dimensioning of the server for software metering and inventory is based on the number of clients that are to be included.

Software

Operating System:
Windows 2003 (SP 2 or higher version recommended) 
Windows 2008 (also R 2)
Server has to be in a Windows domain. 

Framework: .NET Framework 3.5.

Browser: Internet Explorer 6.0 (or higher version).

Office (optional): 
Microsoft Office 2003
Microsoft Office 2007.

Hardware

• If SQL server is to operate on the same hardware, the hardware requirements increase accordingly. 
• If SQL Server is to be operated on other hardware, the use of a Gigabit Backbone is recommended. 
• In addition, each client needs 1 MB of free disk space for the inventory data. 
• Beyond 12,000 clients we recommend installing the individual LICENSE:ONE system components and services on different servers.

Client Requirements

In order to ensure that LICENSE:ONE's client agents can be properly installed on the target systems, the following conditions have to be met:

Software
At the moment, clients with Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows 2003, Windows Vista, Windows 2008 and Windows 7 operating systems can be supported by using the scripts included for the installation of the client agent as standard. The clients must be connected to a domain which can access the server’s domain. Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 or above must be installed on each system to run the LICENSE:ONE Analyzer client components.

LICENSE:ONE's components have no set requirements above or beyond the operating systems requirements specified above.
