This allows the company’s license situation to be managed in a decisive manner. The very first glance in the automatically detected licenses provides an extensive compliance overview. Using this key data, the number of licenses acquired, found (depending on license model or the license metering) and actually in use is immediately apparent. An additional result of these indicators also gives an overview of the applications in the license pool.
Using the integrated procurement management, license transactions, the activation of upgrades, downgrades and cross grades, and the inclusion of commercial information and links to contracts is managed. Using this data and the detected installation (depending on the license model), the license pool is calculated automatically.
In addition to the automatic calculation of license pools, licenses from the pool can be reserved for future projects or transferred back into the license pool after a certain period of time.
