LICENSE:ONE has its own agents for the inventory and for metering Microsoft Windows environments, terminal servers and virtual installations. In addition, using the interfaces available, it is also possible to integrate systems which are based on different operating system platforms.
Integration of OCS Inventory.
All standard operating systems such as Linux, Unix, AIX, SUN Solaris, and Apple can inventoried automatically using OCS Inventory. Not only hardware data is read. All of the applications installed on your systems are read, making it possible for LICENSE:ONE to map the complete system landscape, servers, and clients, thereby providing a complete overview of all the software and hardware installed in the company.
Virtual Systems.
LICENSE:ONE records virtual systems and treats them like any other system. To allow for the identification of virtual installations or current images, various recognition data is readable. With an identifiable installation, all virtual systems can be directed to the host system thus allowing them to be depicted precisely.
Terminal server-based installations.
In terms of license management and technical presentation, installations which are carried out on a terminal or Citrix server are to be considered separately. LICENSE:ONE can also provide efficient license management on terminal servers, since the exact tracking or metering of applications can be carried out here as well, allowing for the precise recording of an application's usage, which in turn makes it possible to determine all of the licenses utilized.
