The management of hardware asset information within LICENSE:ONE forms the basis for support of all further software asset management systems. The agents included allow for an automatic inventory of all important hardware information. It doesn’t matter if it is a desktop PC, mobile notebook computer or a server system.
Automatic hardware inventory.
When using its client agents to find hardware data, LICENSE:ONE automatically detects all important information regarding processors, main memory, hard drives, graphic cards, network cards, IP addresses and many more types of hardware systems information on computer systems with a Microsoft operating systems platform. Hardware information is then saved in a central database, where it can be managed easily and combined with the necessary information for license and contract management.
Use of hardware information already available.
Many of our customers already run software solutions on their local networks for the automatic inventory of their hardware information. The data gathered thereby is imported into LICENSE:ONE or integrated with a sustained interface, thereby making asset and license management processes available for further processing.
Manual collection of data.
There are numerous reasons why it is often necessary to expand hardware data or missing information because it could not be automatically recorded. In such cases, it is important to be able to manually enter the information.
Not just relevant hardware data can be entered here, but also commercial information, data for the service desk and connections to other systems.
